Start Chatting With Aurora AI Virtual Chat
Published 8/13/2024
Welcome to Aurora AI Chat! We're grateful you decided to give us a try. This guide will help you understand how to make the most of our natural language processing technology and character generation, powered by artificial intelligence. Our app supports both mobile and desktop platforms. If you are on a mobile device, we suggest you add this website to your home screen for the best experience. To add a website to your iPhone/iPad home screen, open Safari, navigate to the desired website, tap the "Share" button (looks like a square with an arrow pointing up), then select "Add to Home Screen" from the options. You can customize the name of the shortcut before tapping "Add" to finalize it on your home screen. To add a website to your Android home screen, open the website in your browser (like Chrome), tap the menu icon (usually three dots), and select "Add to Home Screen". This will create a shortcut on your home screen that directly accesses the website. You can also rename the shortcut if needed.
Creating an Account
Begin by heading the Aurora AI Homepage. On the top-right of the homepage, you will see a button labeled "Sign Up". Click on this button, fill out the form, and submit it to create an account. Upon successful signup, the system will sign you in automatically.
Activating a Subscription
To use our service, you must have an active subscription with the Aurora AI Chat platform. We provide a generous free tier that will get you started using the platform. This is enabled automatically, so we suggested you skip this section and read below on how to start chatting in order to try out our platform. A paid plan offers improved AI models, faster message responses, and larger AI memory size. If you feel you aren't satisfied with the free tier and would like to activate a paid subscription, navigate to myAurora on the navigation bar at the top. Once loaded, you will see a set of subscriptions. You can activate a subscription by clicking "Subscribe" on one of the columns. This will take you to our payment processor (currently Stripe), where you will be asked for your payment information. You will not incur any charges while using the free tier. After you have paid for the subscription, we will redirect you back to our website.
If you use up your limit or want a better AI chat experience, kindly consider upgrading your subscription tier.
Chatting With Our Characters
We will now assume that you have an active subscription. Navigate to the Discover page by hovering over Characters, then clicking on Discover. Here you will see a scrollable list of all our characters. After you decide on the character you want to chat with, click the Create Chat button in the character card. You will automatically be redirected to the chats page, where you will see a list of all your saved chats. Click on the applicable chat card for your character to load your message history.
For every new character chat, you will find that the character's initial response is already part of the history. Each character has a predetermined first message that will be sent to the user when they create a chat. This helps create a realistic and similar experience for each chat with the character during the first few messages.
Tips For Chatting With Characters
There are some things that you should keep in mind when sending messages to any of our characters. There is a specific, yet simple to understand, format for how you should write your messages.
For each of the messages, if you want to tell the character something that can't be expressed through dialogue (Ex: facial expressions or feeling), then you need to place it in-between a pair of asterisks (Like this: *This is some context*). If you'd like to talk directly to the character, then place your dialogue inside a pair of double quotes, like so: "This is some dialogue!". Please keep in mind that you can alternate between so-called "context" and dialogue as many times as you want within each message. You can also use multiple sentences in each context, so you aren't limited in that regard. For clarity, below is an example of how a message may look:
*Revvz looked up at him with a fiery gaze. Revvz's anger begins to boil over* "So...how do you exactly expect me to rectify the situation?!" *Revvz looked aimlessly at the floor in disappointment*
You may now converse with the character like how you would any other person in the real world using text messages. Enjoy! 🎉
